Reaching us is easy, just a 1.5-hour drive from Luleå Airport, or about 45 minutes from Aurora Safari Camp. Many of our guests tell us they love combining a night or two at the camp with a stay here, especially when crossing the Arctic Circle has been a lifelong dream.

For us, Mårdsel is more than a place, it’s home. With only six people living here year-round, the village and the surrounding wilderness invite you to slow down, breathe deeply, and let the silence do its work. Wander on snowshoes through untouched forest, glide over the landscape on Nordic skis, or take a kicksled down the snowy lanes the way locals have done for generations.

Life out here is simple, honest, and beautifully remote. We’re grateful to share it with travelers who seek the real Arctic, the warmth of a Swedish home, the comfort of good food, and a closeness to nature that’s hard to put into words.
